Don’t Just Read Your Bible: Download the Free Guide Now!
Earlier this week, I wrote a blog post telling a story about some things I’ve been learning in the last few months.
How I’ve been trying to treat the last few months of the year as a push to the finish line, setting up for a good 2024, instead of just coasting for a few months and then expecting to reset instantly on January 1st.
How I’ve been working on developing habits to be holy, healthy, and happy, and why I think those habits are especially important for farmers and ranchers.
And how the foundation of all our spiritual, physical, and mental health has to start with knowing God through His Word.
And then I decided it was way too long to share as a blog post, especially when I have something exciting to tell you and I didn’t want it to get lost in the story.
Instead, I’m just sharing a summary here and sharing the full post on my Patreon page (and in the future, I expect to do this with a lot of posts. Because let’s be honest, they always start out way too long.) That way I can skip to the announcement.
If you’re reading this, you very likely already know it’s important to read your Bible. But maybe you just don’t know how to start that habit. So…I’ve been working on a resource to help you get started!
A few years ago, I wrote a blog post called, “Don’t Just Read Your Bible: 12 Ways to Go Deeper,” and I recently developed it into a free guide which you can download by clicking here (I’ll also put it elsewhere on the blog and on my social media!)
I’ll be talking about this on my social media throughout the month (and probably beyond, depending on how it goes!) I’ve also been realizing the importance of community in habit changes, so I’m thinking about ways to incorporate that.
For the month of December, I would encourage you to just get started with some basic Bible habits - and don’t beat yourself up if they don’t go well! By the time January 1st rolls around, you’ll have a better idea of how to really utilize that “fresh start” feeling instead of trying to go cold turkey 🙂
Please don’t hesitate to comment or reach out with thoughts, ideas, and questions!
